Capacities Safari extension.
Put what you read to work in your notes.
Ask about what you're reading. AlliHat can look up your Capacities notes, compare them with the page, and save the ideas you want to keep. Use ChatGPT or another supported AI right in Safari.
Watch the demo Connect CapacitiesFor Safari on Mac. 7-day free trial, then $29.99/year.
Requires Capacities Pro and AI enabled for your space.
From the demoYou're reading about spaced practice. Your Spanish study routine is in Capacities.
"does this change how I study Spanish?"
Then keep the ideas that help.
"save these ideas to my Spanish study guide"
From an article to your study routine.
AlliHat finds the Learning Spanish note, compares the routine with the article, and saves the useful ideas with a source link. The original notes stay in place. Neither request needs to name the app.

How to connect Capacities in Safari.
You need Capacities Pro and the AI Assistant enabled in the space you want to connect. See Capacities' connection requirements.
- Install AlliHat. Download it from the Mac App Store, then turn it on in Safari Settings > Extensions. Allow access to the pages you want to use.
- Choose your AI. Sign in with ChatGPT or connect another supported AI provider. Already chatting in AlliHat? You can skip this step.
- Connect Capacities. Open the three-dot menu, choose Connected apps, find Capacities, and click Connect. Sign in and choose the space you want to use.
- Ask about the page. Once it says Connected, return to the article and ask in your own words. Tell AlliHat where to save any ideas you want to keep.
Having trouble?
If a note is missing, check that it's in the space you connected. The connection can access that space, not every space in your account. If your space isn't offered during setup, check that its AI Assistant is enabled.
If Capacities says it's already open in another tab, close the existing Capacities app tab and retry the connection. You can reopen it afterward.
To reconnect, open Connected apps, select Capacities, and choose Refresh connection. If a save is interrupted, check the note before asking again.
Accounts and costs.
You need AlliHat, an AI connection, and Capacities Pro. AlliHat has a 7-day free trial, then costs $29.99/year. Your AI and Capacities plans are separate.
The page text and notes used to answer your question are sent to your AI provider. When you ask it to save something, that content goes to Capacities. Read about privacy.
Common questions.
Do I have to mention Capacities in every request?
No. In the demo, "does this change how I study Spanish?" finds the relevant Capacities note without naming the app. If a request could refer to several notes or apps, give a little more context or answer a follow-up question.
How is this different from the Capacities web extension?
The official Capacities web extension saves links with titles, cover images, tags, and notes. AlliHat lets you discuss a webpage alongside your existing notes and save ideas from the conversation. AlliHat is an independent app, not an official Capacities extension. See the official web extension guide.
Do I need Agent Mode?
No. Connect Capacities, then ask in your usual AlliHat chat. Agent Mode is only needed when you want AlliHat to click or type in the browser.
Does this work on iPhone or iPad?
No. AlliHat is for Safari on a Mac running macOS 14 or later.
